The spring walk now begins at lunchtime

After exhausting (!) research, JJ has been forced to admit that starting the 4 days of walking with a 20+ mile near marathon is a bit much to expect of Reluctant Ramblers.

So, the walking will now begin from Aymestrey at lunchtime and take 12 miles along the Mortimer Trail to Ludlow Castle.

The other good news is that less exhausting research has discovered the Riverside pub [ 01568 708440 ] in Aymestrey where Richard is a very welcoming host. This is a good eating pub. Meet at 11.30 for an early lunch then a 12.30 start. There are benches outside if the weather is good.

  1. Hi, Tom. We are wanting to get 4 tickets for John’s Ludlow gig. Is it best to get them through the “We Got Tickets” site, or are we able to purchase them via you? Not sure how the logistics work on that one. We are in Kidderminster so probably need to sort out postage etc or pick them up on the day? As things stand at the moment, we intend to do Tuesday’s walk. Thanks, Claire x

  2. Help is there anyone who could share a taxi from Ludlow to Aymestry or if you are travelling from Ludlow/Shrewsbury by car to Aymestry to start the walk on 31 May could I beg a lift – I would be very grateful. I am doing my haphazard rail, bus, car plan to try to walk as much of the spring walk as possible. Chrissie
